Ryan spent the next several months in a military hospital, undergoing multiple surgeries and rehabilitation. It was a difficult time for him, both physically and emotionally.
Despite his injuries, Ryan was determined to recover and return to the Army. He worked tirelessly on his rehabilitation and eventually returned to active duty in 2007. Ryan was stationed in Fort Campbell, Kentucky and continued to serve his country with distinction.
Transitioning to Civilian Life
In 2010, Ryan decided to leave the Army and transition to civilian life. It was a difficult decision, but Ryan felt that he had accomplished everything he set out to do in the military. Ryan moved back to his hometown in Texas and started a new chapter in his life.
